Airport Security Poll Results

We recently conducted a poll to determine what you think is a reasonable amount of time to wait in line to get through airport security. The majority of respondents said that 15 minutes or less is a reasonable amount of time to wait, whereas 25% were okay with waiting 30 minutes or less. No one was okay with waiting more than 30 minutes.

When asked what bothers you the most about the airport security process, the majority of respondents said that having to take off their shoes or another item bothered them the most. The next most bothersome response was having a pat down and/or body scan. An overwhelming majority of respondents said that the security process has not caused them to not travel by air.

Thanks to those of you who participated. Take WTA’s new poll.

Healthy Travel Tips

  • Overeating on airplanes can exacerbate jet lag. Consume the same size meal as you normally would.

  • A few days before an airplane trip, drink 8-10 glasses of water daily and reduce your intake of caffeine and alcohol. This offsets in-flight dehydration.

  • Hotel rooms are notoriously dry. Increase the moisture in the room by placing wet towels near the bed, or lightly sprinkle the carpet with water.

  • Prescription drugs have different names in different countries. Be sure you take the generic name in case you need to reorder it abroad.

  • Pack medications in more than one place in case a bag is lost. Be sure to keep some in your carry-on bag.

Sedona — Surrounded by Beauty

Nature paints a tapestry of beautiful places throughout the United States. For those who thrill to the sight of sculptured canyons, rugged terrain, and incomparable scenic valleys, nothing approaches Arizona. The Grand Canyon has long drawn visitors. For years, another area attracted artists but remained the best-kept secret of the state until about 1960 when it was “discovered” by retirees and travelers in search of breath-taking beauty. Today, Sedona maintains much of its unspoiled wonder and all of its natural grandeur while offering the finest amenities to the visitor. Read more about this unique area.
